Archival, In Remembrance

Archival, In Remembrance is a series of work that explores my personal family album to create representation and connotations of memory and remembrance due to using a selection of Second World War era imagery of my Great Grandparents.

Archival, In Remembrance is a series of work that explores my personal family album to create representation and connotations of memory and remembrance due to using a selection of Second World War era imagery of my Great Grandparents. This body of work is informal in nature due to the personal nature of this theme, allowing for the imagery to be referred to by the names of the people present. This body of work brings forth the idea of memory and remembrance through the use of hand manipulated interventions which link the idea of light with memory which is a common belief that many people hold when thinking of death and remembrance.

This body of work was shown at the 4th joint Royal Photographic Society Historical Group / SHU Photography Research Symposium. To see the presentation please click the PDF link.
